OrCPP member update
You may be aware that Oregon is
getting a new statewide eProcurement system called OregonBuys. This
new system will replace the Oregon Procurement Information Network
(ORPIN).
While OregonBuys is a software
as a service (SaaS), Oregon does have the ability to configure
system settings to meet the state’s needs.
As the project work continues,
we'll gather feedback from OrCPPs via email, meetings and through a
pilot program for members who are ORPIN power users.
The project hasn't
started yet...
We're still in the planning
phase of the project and haven't yet transitioned to OregonBuys.
However, there are two state
agencies who've adopted OregonBuys early: Secretary of State and
Department of Forestry. If your organization has an
intergovernmental agreement with these agencies, you may be asked
to register for an OregonBuys vendor account. This account is aside
from the statewide project to replace ORPIN.
Designate a point
person now!
We
need each OrCPP member to designate a single point of contact who
can help coordinate and answer questions for our project team.

Should I stop using
ORPIN?
No, ORPIN is still the system
of record. Continue using ORPIN until we transition to OregonBuys.
Do I need to register
for a user
account in OregonBuys?
No, the project team will reach
out to your organization to setup all user accounts when we're
ready to transition to OregonBuys.
When will OregonBuys
replace ORPIN?
We're currently finalizing the
timeline and will share more information when it becomes available.
We'll give ample advance notice before the transition and will
offer several training opportunities.
Will there be 2 systems
at one time?
All state agencies and OrCPP
members will move out of ORPIN at the same time. When this happens,
ORPIN will switch to read only status.
Will ORPIN historical
information remain available?
ORPIN will remain available in
a read only status so that you can access historical information.
